  • Developed baseband features, for the 5G network, focusing on Layer 1 and Layer 2. Programming language was C.
  • Specialized in the User Plane Controller (UPC), implementing features to enhance performance.
  • Improved uplink throughput, reduced latency, and optimized energy efficiency.
  • Contributed to industry-leading KPIs that outperformed major competitors.
  • Worked in a division at Ericsson operated under Combitech ownership.

Volvo Group

- 2019 to 2020 -

  • Master thesis in combustion control, developing a new way estimating combustion torque using an in-cylinder pressure sensor and flywheel position sensor.
  • The thesis work was carried out for 6 months, including validation on a real engine.
  • I later continued to work on the electric and electrical platform for next generation of trucks. Both software development and system design.

About me

Erik Williamsson

Erik Williamsson holds a Master of Science in Engineering Physics from Chalmers University of Technology, with a specialization in mechatronics and embedded systems. He has a strong foundation in physical modeling, mathematics, and broad engineering disciplines.

Erik has a deep technical background in C programming, particularly in multithreaded embedded systems, and experience in C++, where he develops advanced telematics applications. He also works with Python and Java, combining low-level efficiency with high-level design.

He is passionate about building and optimizing systems—whether embedded software or full-stack applications. This website was programmed by Erik himself and is designed to load fast and work seamlessly across phones, tablets, and desktops, using smart, performance-aware techniques.

Driven by curiosity, Erik also explores financial modeling and stock analysis, applying his analytical mindset beyond engineering. He thrives in creative, technically challenging environments, always aiming to deliver meaningful results while having fun along the way.
